Holiday support for a growing charity organization

The Unforgettables Foundation is working hard to get up and running in the Miami Valley.

Unforgettables began in California back in 1999 with the goal of providing financial assistance to needy families following the death of their child. They strive to help low income families provide a dignified burial for their children who have passed away; something that can be extremely expensive that not all families have the means of providing.

Jared Still of Springboro has been working tirelessly to get the Ohio chapter of this organization going since mid 2016. As with any venture, especially of the non-profit charity variety, money is the key concern, but Still has been working with area businesses to raise money for this venture. Once the organization is up and running, they will be able to assist families throughout the Dayton area to help them through every parent's worst nightmare.

Still says they still have a ways to go until they've raised enough money to start giving back, but local organizations have been helping them raise funds. ON December 2, the KCCO (Keep Calm and Chive On) helped raise funds for the organization. They hosted a holiday event at Ned Peppers in Dayton that attracted between 70 and 80 people. $2,580 was raised for the Unforgettables that night.

The Dayton chapter of KCCO has helped raise money for several foundations and charities in the Dayton area thorough their 10-15 years of operating in the region. They hold two local and one national fundraiser event each year to help out organizations they believe in. "They're all about giving back to the community; trying to make it better," said Still.
